Privacy

Nine Lives is a small studio that makes an interactive series. This page says what we keep about you on ninelivesseries.com and why. Short version: as little as we can.

The sign-up sheet

If you leave your email, we keep it to tell you when a new part is out. Nothing else. Every letter has a way out, or write to us and we delete it.

Votes

When you vote, your browser gets a random ID in a cookie, so you can change your vote instead of voting twice. We also keep a one-way hash of your IP address to slow down spam. We never store a name with a vote.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar sees your card and billing details; we never do. From Polar we get your order number, your email and the name you choose for the board. That board name is public: it is shown on this site and in the episodes.

What we don't do

• No ads and no ad trackers.
• We don't sell or share your data.
• We don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13. Purchases are for adults, 18 and up.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
